Learn to be a bike mechanic with our 5 month Local Training Initiative course in Cycle Mechanics. The next course begins in April 2023.

The course will provide fun hands-on training in how all of the parts of a bike work together and how to identify and repair most common problems.

The majority of the course will be practically based, however there are writing and work placement elements also. You will also be supported to carry out two work placements where you will be able to practice and improve your bike repair skills in bicycle shops / workshops.

This course is primarily for those aged 18-35 who are currently unemployed.

Learners may receive a weekly training allowance depending on their circumstances.

On completion, learners will receive a City & Guilds in Cycle Mechanics and complementary QQI modules such as Customer Service.
